No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.” - Hal Borland
We had been planning to go to Jaipur for some time. Unfortunately, health issues prevented me to travel and I ended up being a virtual tourist again. During my search, I came across a couple of nice ones but 28 Kothi stole my heart. It matches the charm of Jaipur city and a perfect luxurious escape. Clean, minimalist decor, a blend of modern and contemporary art, yet very chic, definitely makes the space very inviting and warm.
Fresh, sun kissed mornings in the lounge and lazy afternoons in the library are great sitting areas for those who wants relaxing and serene atmosphere.
This boutique guesthouse is owned by Gem Palace designer Munnu Kasliwal’s son Siddharth and NYC-based Abhishek Honawar. Lebanese designer Nur Kaoukji of the ecru brand has a distinct style. She has added new aesthetic to the entire place.
So, I know where to go whenever I am in Jaipur. Check out for more details on their website
I'm glad Pinterest brought me to Facebook of Dhruv Singh. So much of inspiration ! Absolutely gorgeous. His clothing line speaks so much about India. Beautiful patterns, stylish cuts, subtle embroideries, traditional textiles with chic look, muted and bright hues make each ensemble so rich, elegant and timeless. These shaded kalidars in earthy tones are so stunning..
Not only his clothes are lovely, his styling and photo shoots are also awesome. Aren’t these full of stories with so much of vintage feel? Adorable…
These images are from the commercial of Koolfoam Mattress Print Ad which shows a baby, a grand ma and a fat man sleeping on Koolfoam mattress and are surrounded by Indian folks dancing and singing lullabies. So creative and fresh- idea, definitely India-inspirit. Adoring these…
Sharing with you pictures from Architectural Digest India’s first anniversary issue. The colors of Rajasthan and bright fabrics grabbed my attention right away. Kudos to Architectural’s team for capturing magnificent shots that have created beautiful impact and added lots of visual interest.
I am having great time creating these boards.Love this black and gold theme. Enjoy your weekend. Will catch up soon.
I was pinning some pretty pictures on my Pinterest. This is when an idea of creating a board capturing India’s gorgeousness and vibrancy struck. So, here is my first pin to my board “Indianness captured”. Hope you would like it.
Three years ago, I wanted to do “ Choose your own slice of Paradise -Your dose of rejuvenation”as a regular feature on my blog. This is what I wrote at that time.
“India the cultural mosaic, intoxicating fusion of ancient panorama, blessed with stunning landscapes, conglomeration and congregations of regions and religions, lovely food, vibrant bazaars, Holy Shrines , India is undoubtedly a perfect getaway .
But where is the time ?? Insipidness of daily routine usually takes us away from the serenity , beauty and charm of Life . Don’t you think sometimes , we have strong urge to surrender ourselves to the allures of beauty of nature , exotic interiors, lovely places where in we want to rejoice in extraordinary surroundings , enjoy local food. But can we actually pack our bags and just go unwind ourselves as and when we want to?? I know the answer is NO . So, here comes , “Choose your own slice of Paradise” - Your dose of rejuvenation. It is about exotic destinations in India where in we will be seeing the sights of rural India to palaces, regality of Maharajas , metamorphosing into palaces, havelis into world class hotels , luxurious safaris all seduced with breathless, matchless interior decor and captivating sights . Are you ready?????????”
With great enthusiasm, I did write one post but could not go on. Things fizzled out, priorities changed, blog took a back seat and then the whole idea of writing it as regular feature got lost. However, my urge to write about beautiful places, boutique hotels and their striking interiors never went away. I continued to be a virtual tourist all these years. But, The Farm Jaipur, an artistic hotel has compelled me to restart “ my dose of rejuvenation”.
This beautiful property is owned by a couple Ritu and Surya Singh. Quirky spaces, art deco, eclectic mix of vintage and retro stuff, unusual and creative decor follows throughout the hotel. Interestingly most of the stuff in the hotel has been reused and recycled. Jute rice bags have been used as cushion covers, old bolts used as numbers on the rooms and waste leather shavings have been used as trendy rugs. The hotel has 6 executive rooms with splashes of vibrant colours here and there. I love the decor and feel of the hotel – so Indian….
Are you ready to treat yourself to this chic and tranquil getaway ?
More info on tariff and amenities is available on their website http://thefarmjaipur.com/

I am in awe of this FEEL AT HOME look. I want to create this nook at my place to keep me away from the stress of everyday life. Nice and comfy place to relax and blog.
